Laura Shook has written a new memoir, Forever Hope, which chronicles her relationship with God through her battle with and recovery from Stage 3 colorectal cancer. Published in London by Maida Vale Press, Forever Hope is an adaptation of Shook’s popular online diary, and is an encouraging read for anyone facing a storm in life and learning to trust God in the middle of the struggle.

Dr. Todd Swift, Founder and Publisher of Maida Vale Publishing, says, “It’s an honor to publish Laura’s moving, intimate account of her overcoming cancer. It’s not every day that a publisher has the opportunity to publish a book that will so powerfully affect its readers’ day-to-day lives—my own included—so I’m very proud to release Forever Hope from here in London, knowing that it will impact readers on both sides of the pond.”

Forever Hope has already been endorsed by several prominent leaders in both secular and religious circles including New York Times Bestselling Authors Kerry and Chris Shook of Woodlands Church, who wrote, “With honest transparency and raw emotion, Laura Shook gives you a powerful playbook for getting through your worst days. Whether you’re battling cancer or know someone who is, Forever Hope offers an anchor for the soul in the midst of fear and uncertainty.  Laura’s genuine and tenacious faith has inspired us personally, and we feel so honored to have witnessed her journey first hand.”

Dan Wolterman, President and CEO of Memorial Hermann Healthcare system said, “Forever Hope is a powerful and poignant story of a cancer patient’s journey through diagnosis, treatment and recovery, and the strength to face each day guided by her faith in God.  As a fellow cancer survivor and a chief executive officer of one of the nation’s largest healthcare systems, I can attest to the fears, emotions and challenges of being diagnosed with cancer that Laura Shook so eloquently captures in Forever Hope.  This book is a ‘must read’ for any cancer patient or individual supporting a loved one with cancer.

Andy Card, White House Chief of Staff under President George W. Bush wrote “Through fear and angst, selfless heartache, and sustaining faith, the love of God is shared by Laura with intimacy, courage, and revelation.  This is more than a story, it is a love diary roadmap of faith.
